To run this 3 strand programme, the Youth Development Officer can’t do it all alone!

The Football Development Centre needs the help and support of many people. Many people at present make themselves available to assist in the development of football in North Down but to try to even get close to fulfilling the potential in the area, all 3 strands need to be expanded.

• At present the FDC uses the services of some of the areas best coaches but only on a casual basis.

• In the future, we’d like to be able to employ Part-time coaches working to provide more quality football opportunities, more often.

• The Football Development Centre also promotes Capability In The Community and will provide Coach Education opportunities for not only FDC coaches, but the whole community.

• The FDC needs a network of volunteers to help with the things we find very important but sometimes go unnoticed:

• Accommodating and making guests comfortable on Matchdays

• Looking after parents at Centre Of Excellence coaching sessions
