DECEMBER 2003
Bangor Football Development Centre is looking for
NEW coaches!
The Football Development Centre is on the lookout for people
who are interested in climbing the coaching ladder.
Youth Development Officer, Craig Bowers said “This
is a great opportunity for people with no coaching awards
or qualifications who are interested in football coaching,
or may even have been doing some coaching, to get involved
and participate in the McDonalds Coaching Programme. They
will be trained up to Junior Team Manager level by the IFA
and will get the opportunity to coach in post primary schools
in North Down and the surrounding area – and get paid
to do it!”
“McDonalds sponsor this programme and it is run nationally
through the Football Development Centre programme.”
The programme is entering year 2 and coaches have already
taken the programme to Bangor Academy, St Columbanus College,
Donaghadee High School and Sullivan Upper.
Year 2 will start with volunteers from across the country
going through their coaching training in January with the
first phase of coaching sessions in schools starting in
February until April and the second phase 2 from September
to November. Volunteers will need to commit to the full
programme.
Anyone who is interested or would like more information
should call Craig Bowers on 9145 7712 or email craig.bowers@bangorfc.com
