31st August 2011 FRANKIE SAYS
Frankie SaysFRANKIE SAYS... I am really pleased with our start to the season - our hectic pre-season match schedule has worked. We have been sharper and fitter than any team we have faced thus far. It will be a really tough game on Saturday at home to Dergview. I guess we are the underdogs, as they did finish above us last year. We will continue to work hard at our systems, game plans and set pieces as we aim for a top two finish. A big thank you to the supporters who travelled
to our matches in July and August. I appreciate that it was
tough at times, but winning games when it matters makes all
the preparation and effort worthwhile.

Collector's item goals from Ryan Mann and Johnny Watterson followed soon after before an Rangers own goal gifted Bangor their seventh. Substitute Marc O'Gormley coolly rounded the Rangers 'keeper to finish off the scoring. The game had an unfortunate ending, with an horrific head injury to a Lisburn Rangers defender.
