26th May 2009 BANGOR APPOINT COLIN McCURDY AS MANAGER News
Bangor FC are pleased to announce the appointment of Colin McCurdy as their new manager. Colin had been acting in a caretaker capacity since the departure of Marty Quinn in January, just after Bangor had announced that they would not be re-applying for the Domestic Licence required to compete in the Premiership.

After the trauma of last season, the Board recognised that it was important to have some continuity on the playing side as the Club drops down into the second tier of local football. Colin has impressed the Board with his experience and plans to build a team that will compete in the Championship next season. He also hopes to re-create some of the success enjoyed by the Club when he was the assistant to Nigel Best during the glory years back in the early nineties.

Assisting Colin in his task will be Norman Kelly who had previously been employed as a scout for Linfield FC.

Both Colin and Norman have signed a one year contract and hope to get down to business immediately.
