  2nd July 2009 MAGENNIS & DUNLOP SIGN
News
Bangor FC tonight completed the signing of two more players for the 2009/10 season.

Re-signing for another season is midfielder Mark Magennis. After suffering a terrible injury in January 2008, Mark made his return to full fitness last season and hit a spectacular goal in our final match of the 2008/09 against Ballymena United.

Also joining Mark in the middle of the park next season will be Grant Dunlop. Dunlop, is no stranger to Clandeboye Park having spent several seasons at the club under the watchful eye of his father George who was in charge of the club at the time.

Stay tuned to www.bangorfc.com for more updates in the coming days.

News
An inspired performance by Natasha Lee (pictured) of Bangor Ladies, the ladies section of Bangor Football Club, helped bank another three points for the Coca Cola 3rd Division league leaders on Wednesday (1st) night.

A 6-3 win over neighbouring Abbey Villa at Dairy Hall in Newtownards, means the Seasiders have recorded their highest number of league points accumulated in any season in the NIWFA.

The Bangor Academy teenager netted her second hat-trick in back to back league games, in a determined performance by the under-strength Seasiders.

This result maintains the North Down’s clubs two-point advantage over Newtownards rivals 1st Bangor, with just six league games to go, and establishes the young Bangor forward as the most potent striker in the division with 16 goals scored this season so far.

26th May 2009 BANGOR APPOINT COLIN McCURDY AS MANAGER News
Bangor FC are pleased to announce the appointment of Colin McCurdy as their new manager. Colin had been acting in a caretaker capacity since the departure of Marty Quinn in January, just after Bangor had announced that they would not be re-applying for the Domestic Licence required to compete in the Premiership.

After the trauma of last season, the Board recognised that it was important to have some continuity on the playing side as the Club drops down into the second tier of local football. Colin has impressed the Board with his experience and plans to build a team that will compete in the Championship next season. He also hopes to re-create some of the success enjoyed by the Club when he was the assistant to Nigel Best during the glory years back in the early nineties.

Assisting Colin in his task will be Norman Kelly who had previously been employed as a scout for Linfield FC.

Both Colin and Norman have signed a one year contract and hope to get down to business immediately.
